In this class, I learned the benefits and techniques of rocking the body.

With rocking, the therapist can visually see the tighter areas of the body, and know where to give more attention. 

Rocking is very good for calming the central nervous system.  Think of a baby that is crying.  The parents rock and rock the baby, and slowly it begins to relax, let go, and even fall asleep. I find that the longer a client is rocked, the less their body is able to hold on to tension.  It is wonderful!

I have had rocking loosen up a group of muscles when nothing else was working.  It is wonderful.  I highly recommend some rocking in sessions.
